The Furbearer Conservation project and our associated contributors place heavy importance on the proper education of licensed trappers and wildlife control operators.

The activity of regulated trapping is highly regarded by the conservation community, and supported by the majority of citizens based many factors - one of which is the notion that state agencies and managers tasked with regulating trapping activities are, for one, properly educated on the actions of trapping; and have properly educated/trained licensed trappers on ethical and humane trapping practices in line with the most up-to-date science and research.

This page is dedicated to making applicable training and education documents and concepts available to the public, wildlife managers, law enforcement, and licensed trappers. The documents contained within will be updated as they become available. New documents will be added as they develop. Note: Different states and provinces have different regulations based on geographical location - it is always best to consult your state agency on trapping related matters.
